the story

Many years ago John Bakale Jr. had taken notice and admired his neighbor’s Hydrangea plant. He had never seen a hydrangea so beautiful and unique as this one. John had asked his neighbor if he could get some cuttings from the parent plant and was given permission. Unfortunately that following year the neighbor’s hydrangea died. John had the only living evidence!

John and his son were determined to reproduce this unique and beautiful hydrangea again. After much culling of the selections over the next 10 years they had finally reproduced the plant! Before they could bring the hydrangea to the market he needed a name.

Because of the unique beauty John named it in memory of his daughter who tragically passed away at the age of 11 in 1999. Her name Lindsay Ann.
